Mason confirmed for Prescott bike festival

Kawasaki superbike racer Gary Mason has been confirmed as a star guest at the Prescott Bike festival in Gloucester on 10 April.
The event, which is being held on and around the famous hill climb venue is being organised by the NABB charity blood and organ motorcycle emergency delivery charity that is supported in Buckinghamshire, Oxfordshire, Hertfordshire and Northants by Kawasaki Motors UK.

On the tarmac track owned by the Bugatti Owners Club, the event marks the first-ever Prescott Bike Festival on Sunday April 10.

Open for just 30 days per year and better known for exotic and vintage four-wheel action, Prescott will welcome and celebrate everything good about two-wheels with manufacturer and dealer displays showing the latest 2011 bikes.

Organised by local Blood Bike charity 'Severn Freewheelers', the Prescott Bike Festival will raise funds for the charity that moves vital medical supplies, blood and pathology samples from hospitals across the UK.

Festival organiser Gordon Downie, commented, "Obviously the unique opportunity to ride the hill is a major attraction, but the Prescott Bike Festival promises so much more. With all major motorcycle manufacturers in attendance through their dealers, fans will get the chance to see all the major models up close and personal, while a host of trade stands will be available to visit with representatives from the Get On Campaign, local motorcycle training schools as well as some famous racers and great lunchtime entertainment too."

The Festival promises a great day out and just some of the key attractions include: Meet the Racers, Capirossi's GP5 Ducati, KTM's X-Bow with race driver running the hill, helicopter rides, Stunt Starz featuring the UK's only female stunt rider, exotic vintage and classic race bikes, live bands, 'things money can't buy' charity auction including VIP/Paddock and meet the Racers tickets for BSB and MotoX Championships; babes in lycra; Have A Go Off Road and Trials; Formula One Simulator, DesmoDue Racers and bikes plus lots of trade stands.

Gary Mason will be at the event to meet Kawasaki fans and talk about his ambitions for the upcoming British Superbike season.

He commented: "The National Association of Blood Bikes is a great example of an organisation that promotes a very positive motorcycling message. I am sure if people set time aside to visit the bike festival at Prescott they will have a great day out and also show their support for a very worthy cause".

Prescott Hill Climb is centrally situated between Birmingham and Bristol, some 10 minutes from the M5, near Cheltenham.
