British Superbike team, MSS Colchester Kawasaki, have received high octane boost in the run up to their MCE British Superbike campaign as they confirmed a high level sponsorship deal with Tesco Momentum99 Fuel.
The Official Kawasaki British Superbike team of Kawasaki Motors UK has been chosen by the giant supermarket and fuel retailer as part of its two pronged awareness campaign for its premium petrol in the British Superbike and the British Touring Car series.
Momentum99 is the name of Tesco's premium petrol - a high octane, high-quality product designed to help engines run better, cleaner and more efficiently. It is currently available at over 400 Tesco filling stations across the UK and quickly spreading to other Tesco locations.
Christian Osborne, Tesco Momentum99 Marketing Manager commented "This is a fantastic opportunity for us to showcase Tesco Momentum99 fuel to such an enthusiastic and knowledgeable audience. We want riders of high performance Superbikes to try our fuel and what better way to do that than to tie up with a top BSB squad. The fact that the MSS Colchester Kawasaki team is very 'green' is all part of the appeal!"
MSS Colchester Kawasaki Team Owner, Nick Morgan added "We are so excited to be working with Tesco and their premium fuel, Momentum99. As an engine builder I know the importance of high quality fuel and this is a great product for drivers and bikers to use from the forecourt. We now have an impressive roster of sponsors and we look forward to repaying their faith on April 25th at Brands Hatch round one!",
Michael Johnstone, Sales & Marketing Manager, Kawasaki Motors UK concluded, "We applaud Nick and his team for finalising the partnership with such a well respected household brand when sponsorship is far from easy to obtain. There is a great tie up for this new fuel with its high-performance characteristics which will appeal to many Kawasaki customers."
The announcement follows the off season development of the new Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R race machines with World Superbike input from the factory PBM squad plus the addition of established BSB star Stuart Easton. Stuart is joined by 2010 team rider, Gary Mason and Superstock trio, Danny Buchan, Howie Mainwaring and Sandra Stammova.
